1. LOTUS
Trong đầm gì đẹp bằng sen
Lá xanh bông trắng lại chen nhị vàng
Nhị vàng bông trắng lá xanh
Gằn bùn mà chẵng hôi tanh mùi bùn.

2. NOSTALGIA OF THE JUNGLE by The Lu
Gnawing away my hatred in this iron cage,
Lying low, watching days and months pass by,
I despise these insolent stupefied humans
Their small eyes staring, mocking the jungle's pride.
Now, in my fall, humiliated and confined
Just a freak show, a simple toy,
Sharing the same pack with silly bears
And the next cage's pair of carefree leopards.

I live forever in longings and nostalgia
Of the old days when I roved almighty.
I miss the mountains and forests with their immense shade and ancient trees,
With winds howling in the forests, with torrents shrieking through the mountains,
While roaring my formidable epic song,
I walked with dignity, I commanded respect
My body undulating like harmonious waves
Frolicking in the secretive shades of spiny leaves and cutting grasses.
In my dark cave, once I glowered my supernatural eyes
Immediately all other beings fell silent,
Because I knew I was the supreme ruler of all kinds
Among the trees and flowers without a name and age.

Gone are the golden nights by the spring
High with my prey, I drank the scattered moon light.
Where are these days when rain erupted all sides
When I quietly watched my realm renew its life?
Where are the dawns with greenery awash in sunlight
Jubilant birds songs awaking me from my sleep,
The afternoons when the jungle was all gory
While I waited for the blazing sun to die
And these secret domains to become mine?
Alas! Where are all those moments of glory!

Now my resentment will last a thousand autumns,
And I hate these surroundings that will never change,
In these vulgar landscapes, fake and arranged,
Maintained flowers, planted trees, trimmed lawns, even paths,
Black water that doesn't even flow, acting like a spring,
Creeping beneath tiny mounds,
Some little benign foliage without mystery
Trying to assume wilderness and immensity
Of places millennial, majestic and obscure.

O majestic landscapes of water and mountains
Where sacred tigers reigned,
Where unrestrained I roved in the old days,
Places that never I will see again!
Do you know there are days disillusioned
I follow my grand dreams of the jungle
To let my soul fly over close to you?
Oh my awesome jungle landscapes, I miss you so!

3. MOTHERLY LOVE by TRUONG NGOC THACH
Yesterday's mothers:
Soaked in rain, sunburned,
Hands in mud, feet in dirt,
In fog, in winds,
Peddling
Struggling
Without complaint
Not minding anything.
They worked in sweat
Their clothes in rags
Their body exhausted
Shedding their tears
Pinching every penny
Watching over their children growth.
Our eternal love
To you mothers.

Today's mothers:
All day long busy,
Fixing their hair with one hand
Putting on lipstick with the other.
In stylish clothing
In their glimmering cars.
Early in the morning
They rush to the kitchen
Make breakfast for the kids
Drive them to school.
In breathless hurry
They now get to work
All kinds of jobs, any thing
A man can do.
A pilot
A janitor
A CEO
A lawyer
A doctor
An engineer
A singer
A cosmetician.
Back home with the kids
They get them do homework
They teach them music
They straighten their manners
While with one hand
They cook dinner
And clean the house
With the other.
Deep in their mind
Always shine bright
Their kids' futures
That makes them smile.
Our everlasting love
To you mothers.

4. DEW FALLS by NGUYEN VY
DEW FALLS

Dew falls
heavy
Curbing
Willow
branches
Darling
Frigid
North winds
Softly
seep to
the dew
Making
a wound!
Then the
clear drop
of dew
its heart
broken
tattered
darling
Each drop
chiming
each drop
in ruin
on the
forlorn
grave mound
Dew falls
on broken
willow
branches
Wind, rain
tattered
dripping
chiming
breaking
Rain falls
Wind falls
Leaves fall
Darling!
SƯƠNG RƠI

Sương rơi
Nặng trĩu
Trên cành
Dương liễu

Nhưng hơi
Gió bấc
Lạnh lùng
Hiu hắt
Thấm vào
Em ơi
Trong lòng
Hạt sương
Thành một
Vết Thương!...
Rồi hạt
Sương trong
Tan tác
Trong lòng
Tả tơi
Em ơi
Từng giọt
Thánh thót
Từng giọt
Điêu tàn
Trên nấm
Mồ hoang!...
Rơi sương
Cành dương
Liễu ngã
Gió mưa
Tơi tả
Từng giọt
Thánh thót
Từng giọt
Tơi bời
Mưa rơi
Gió rơi
Lá rơi
Em ơi!...

5. TẾT LƯU VONG
Đọc Xuôi :

Sương tuyết lạnh sầu héo cỏ cây,
Xứ xa chiều Tết rượu gì say ?!
Thương mình nghĩ tủi niềm chua xót,
Mất nước hờn đau nỗi đắng cay !
Nhang khói nhạt mờ sân võ miếu,
Gió mưa nhòa phủ mái linh đài.
Hương quê nhớ Tết hồn tê tái,
Sương tuyết lạnh sầu héo cỏ cây !

Đọc Ngược :

Cây cỏ héo sầu lạnh tuyết sương,
Tái tê hồn Tết nhớ quê hương.
Đài linh mái phủ nhòa mưa gió,
Võ miếu sân mờ nhạt khói nhang !
Cay đắng nỗi đau hờn nước mất,
Xót chua niềm tủi nghĩ mình thương 1
Say gì rượu Tết chiều xa xứ ?!
Cây cỏ héo sầu lạnh tuyết sương !
